Tracy Brown is the deputy director of OSI-Baltimore. She is a longtime Maryland attorney, advocate and leader.
Before joining OSI-Baltimore, Brown was executive director of the Women’s Law Center of Maryland, which promotes the legal rights of women through advocacy and direct services. During her 13 year tenure, Brown helped the nonprofit expand services to individuals and increase efforts to achieve systemic change while working collaboratively with partners to promote the center’s mission and broaden its impact.
Before leading the Law Center, Brown worked at the Greater Baltimore Committee as the Community Court Coordinator and as director of the Mayor’s Coordinating Council on Criminal Justice. In addition, she served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the State’s Attorney’s Office for Baltimore City where she created and directed the Domestic Violence Unit and she established a legal advocacy program at the House of Ruth to help provide victims of domestic violence with information and support.
Brown holds a law degree from the University of Maryland and a BA in philosophy and English from University of Maryland, College Park.
