On Saturday, September 29, Open Society Institute will curate an hour of programming from 4-5 p.m. on the Literary Salon stage of the Baltimore Book Festival.
The program will include a reading by Lady Brion (Brion Gill), a 2015 OSI Community Fellow, poet, and author of With My Head Unbowed, followed by panel discussion on “The Books that Inspire Us to Action,” featuring Monique Morris, author of Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools, along with OSI-Baltimore’s Criminal and Juvenile Justice Program Director Tara Huffman and Education and Youth Development Program Director Karen Webber.
The Baltimore Book Festival runs from Friday, September 28th to Sunday, September 30th and takes place at the Inner Harbor. Additional information can be found here.
