On September 5, please join OSI-Baltimore and the Baltimore Museum of Art for a discussion with artists Keith Calhoun and Chandra McCormick, both Open Society Foundations Katrina Media Fellows, their powerful exhibit, “Slavery: The Prison Industrial Complex,” which focuses on issues surrounding mass incarceration, Prison rights advocate Norris Henderson, founder of Voice of the Experienced, and Baltimore-native Monica Cooper of the Maryland Justice Project and the driving force behind Baltimore’s “Ban the Box” legislation will also be part of the discussion. The conversation will be moderated by Annie Anderson of the Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site. Tara Huffman, director of OSI-Baltimore’s Criminal and Juvenile Justice Program, will provide opening remarks.
