OSI-Baltimore responded to the unprecedented pivot to a vote-by-mail election in 2020 by supporting local advocates’ innovative efforts to educate and promote voting in marginalized neighborhoods in the primary election, resulting in unprecedented voter participation in Baltimore City and the use of OSF funds to scale these efforts to several cities in the general election.

$75,000 over one year to enable Baltimore Votes to ensure widespread participation for 2020 elections in Maryland, particularly among marginalized communities in Baltimore City, in light of challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
