OSI-Baltimore invested nearly $2 million in direct response to the COVID-19 and its economic fallout. This included $1 million in direct financial and other emergency support for Baltimore workers hardest hit by the pandemic and at greatest risk of falling into extreme hardship, including those who are unemployed and the formerly incarcerated, and $750,000 in rapid-response funding for at-risk populations.
OSI-Baltimore partnered with Baltimore City, leveraging $6 million in public funding to distribute $400 prepaid cards to up to 15,000 Baltimore City residents hardest hit by COVID-19 and its economic impact. OSI supported 13 community based organizations to facilitate distribution of the emergency resource.
