On Friday, OSI Community Fellows gathered at the Safe Streets hub in East Baltimore to hear from 2017 Fellows Alex Long (right), who is a violence interrupter and runs his McElderry Youth Redemption Boxing Program there, and Munib Lohrasbi, whose State Correctional Facilities Oversight Committee Project works with Disability Rights Maryland to improve conditions for people with disabilities in state prisons. They talked about the successes and challenges of their fellowship work so far and shared ideas for moving forward.
In the picture above, Long and OSI Fellows program director Pamela King look at a portrait of 2003 OSI Fellow Leon Faruq, who brought Safe Streets to Baltimore.
