Low wage workers face many challenges in the workplace, including wage theft, violations of minimum wage and overtime laws, and misclassification as independent contractors. Immigrant workers face additional, unique challenges to asserting their rights under state and federal wage laws, including retaliatory threats of immigration enforcement and a bar to some remedies available to other workers. Join the Public Justice Center to discuss these challenges and some of the strategies that immigrant workers and workers’ rights advocates are using to confront them.
