On JUNE 3, please join Healthcare for the Homeless for part 2 of their conversation on justice with Seema Iyer, PhD from University of Baltimore, Tara Huffman, JD from Open Society Institute-Baltimore, Rev. S. Todd Yeary, JD, PhD from Douglas Memorial Community Church and Rainbow Push Coalition, and Caryn York from Job Opportunities Task Force. Participants will include a cross-section of faith and community-based, education, business, health care, government, law enforcement and philanthropic leaders. The panel will be moderated by Kevin Lindamood, President and CEO of Health Care for the Homeless.
o This session will respond to salient themes, content, and questions from Part 1 of Reimagining Restorative Justice through the Lens of Eliminating Structural Racism
o Explore what the application of restorative justice principles and practices through the lens of eliminating structural racism would entail, including potential changes in structures, policies, politics, practices, & ideas
o Operationalize the aforementioned nuanced approach to restorative justice in the context of the first four Community of Practice (CoP) themes discussed over the past year: health, housing, police-community relations, and food insecurity and access
