Last week, the Daily Record announced its 2021 Leadership in Law awardees. Among the honorees are 2018 OSI Community Fellow, Aarti Sidhu, and Andre Davis, retired U.S. Circuit Judge and OSI-Baltimore Advisory Board member.
Sidhu, who is currently a Staff Attorney with the Education Unit at Disability Rights Maryland working specifically on education issues faced by students with disabilities in the pandemic, received the “Generation JD” recognition and Davis was given a Lifetime Achievement award.
“In a year that didn’t look quite like any of us would’ve expected, I’m glad to be able to use my time and training to advocate for the rights of students with disabilities and I am honored to be recognized for my work,” said Sidhu, who also co-chairs the Maryland Coalition to Reform School Discipline,
According to the Daily Record, “Leadership in Law honors Maryland’s law professionals whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities is outstanding. The Daily Record also honors up-and-coming lawyers with the Generation JD award and those that have had exemplary careers with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Winners are selected by an outside panel of legal and business leaders.”
