OSI would like to highlight some of the events and projects the Community Fellows are hosting or facilitating this season:
This Sunday, November 22, Building Our Nations Daughters, Inc (BOND), the organization founded by Ateira Griffin (2020) will be providing no-contact delivery of full Thanksgiving baskets to single-parent families in need in Baltimore City to ensure single-parent families can focus on being together and connecting as a family while removing the pressure of affording a Thanksgiving meal. This effort is part of their 6th Annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive. More information, including how to donate time, services, and non-perishable goods, can be found here.
Jackie Bello Neumann (2017), co-founder of Dent Education, is offering free social-emotional coaching sessions for educators experiencing fatigue, stress, or burnout. If you’re interested in receiving coaching (or volunteering as a coach), you can sign up here. You can also email Jackie for more information at jackie@denteducation.org.
