The July issue of Baltimore magazine includes a feature on Fluid Movement, the performance art group founded by 2002 OSI-Baltimore Community Fellow Beatrix “Little Trixie” Burneston, that has performed in Baltimore’s public pools and festivals for 20 years.
As the story describes, Little’s OSI Fellowship helped her establish the group so that it would live on after she left Baltimore.
“Little herself left the group in 2007 to pursue her burlesque career in New York, but she made sure it would outlast her involvement through her Open Society grant and has since watched it thrive from afar,” it reads.
The story is currently only available in the print edition. The latest production, “Fluid Movement: The Water Ballet,” will be at Druid Park Pool July 27 and 28 and Patterson Park Pool August 2, 3, and 4.
