Last night at Clay Pots, a West Baltimore community space founded by 2009 OSI Community Fellow Dwayne Hess, the 2017 cohort of OSI Community Fellows marked the end of their 18-month Fellowships by talking about what they accomplished and the work that lays ahead.
The event started with an uplifting and energizing performance by the RICH in Music, a choir of immigrants and refugees led by 2017 OSI Community Fellow Amy Tenney. Next, 2003 OSI Fellow Shawn James, founder of Mural Masters and a member of the Community Fellows Strategic Advisory Group, talked about his varied experiences making connections and collaborating with the Fellows Network since the end of his Fellowship.
Next, each of the 2017 Fellows took a few minutes to give an overview of their experiences during the Fellowship and a preview of their future work, before mingling at each other’s table to share physical and digital displays.
