Last week, Delegate Marlon Amprey presented Gina Worthey and Sarah Matthews from Baltimore Corps with a citation for their work leading six Community Hubs as part of our Baltimore Equitable Vaccination Initiative (BEVI). Baltimore Corps has been a key partner of OSI in the work to reduce in racial disparities in vaccine distribution. The Community Hubs have been primary community-based outposts for vaccine delivery and community engagement.
Watch profiles of the Community Hubs in the video from the recent Baltimore: State of Vaccination event, beginning at 9:20.
The citation recognizes Worthey and Matthews for “leading the grassroots efforts to promote funding and technical support for community-based organizations to provide access to vaccines and COVID-19 testing in Baltimore City’s most critical neighborhoods.”
