On Sunday night, Jews United for Justice (JUFJ), a longtime partner and grantee of OSI-Baltimore, honored OSI’s Tara Huffman with a Heschel Vision Award for her tireless work to transform the criminal and juvenile justice system in Maryland.
The segment honoring Huffman included comments from OSI Director Danielle Torain, NAACP-LDF President and Director Counsel (and former OSI-Baltimore and Open Society Foundations Board member) Sherrilyn Ifill, Johns Hopkins Vice President for Economic Development (and former OSI Board member) Alicia Wilson, JUFJ-Baltimore Director Molly Amster, and Assistant Public Defender Toni Holness, and was introduced by OSI’s Evan Serpick, a member of JUFJ’s Baltimore Leadership Team.
