On March 18, Baltimore Community Lending will honor 2001 OSI Community Fellow Wanda Best as Baltimore City “Community Leader of the Year” during a virtual event, “Re-Imagining Baltimore.” Best is Executive Director of the Upton Planning Committee, which is responsible for the Historic Pennsylvania Avenue Main Street and the Black Arts and Entertainment District (led by another OSI Fellow, Brion Gill) among other projects.
Best worked with the Center for Poverty Solutions and the Baltimore Food Coalition to find ways to reduce hunger and community food insecurity as part of her fellowship.
The event will also feature special guests Brandon Scott and Kurt Schmoke. You can register for the event by clicking here.
