Last week, Hurdle, which provides culturally relevant therapy services, announced a partnership with Young Kings’ Leadership Academy (YKLA) with an interview with co-founder Ciera Daniel, a 2018 OSI Community Fellow. YKLA supports Black male middle school students in Baltimore City by providing academic interventions and unique learning experiences. Like many organizations, YKLA began developing programs that directly address the impact COVID has had on students and learning. The partnership with Hurdle will provide mental health services and support to students, both during distance learning and after schools return to in-person learning.
