On Friday, August 9, Writers in Baltimore Schools, a program founded by 2008 Baltimore Community Fellow Patrice Hutton, will hold its 8th annual Young Writers’ Summer Studio Showcase. Participants – middle and high school students from 10 Baltimore City schools – will read original fiction, poetry, and non-fiction.
The showcase will be from 7-9pm at Red Emma’s Bookstore Coffeehouse. More info here.
The Baltimore Young Writer’s Studio is a week-long residential camp for City students to develop and hone reading and writing skills. This year, the studio will take place from August 4th-9th in Jefferson, MD.
