David Miller, a 1999 OSI-Baltimore Community Fellow and a member of the Fellows Advisory Board, has just released a new children’s book, Gabe & His Green Thumb, about a boy who discovers the power of growing food.
Miller created the Dare to Be King curriculum, a comprehensive system for adolescent African American males that addresses anger, impulse control and decision making. He has previously written two children’s books, Khalil’s Way and The Green Family Farm.
