Tomorrow, Baltimore-based group FORCE: Upsetting Rape Culture, an organization co-founded by 2015 OSI-Baltimore Community Fellow Hannah Brancato, will blanket the National Mall with 3,000 stories from survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence. Open Society Foundations is proud to be the premier sponsor for the Monument Quilt.
The Washington Post has an extensive story about the Monument Quilt today, and Teen Vogue and the Marshall Project both published Anna Flagg’s essay about this weekend’s events. Baltimore’s WMAR also ran a preview story.
Check out the full schedule of this weekend’s events here. On Saturday, Kavita Ramdas, the director of OSF’s Women’s Rights Program, will speak at a mass policy convening that takes place near the steps of the capitol.
