This week, Forbes Magazine features a profile on Eddie C. Brown, CEO and founder of Brown Capital Management and OSI-Baltimore Advisory Board member. The Oracle of Apopka chronicles Brown’s beginnings in a small town in Florida to his rise as T. Rowe Price’s first African American portfolio manager in 1973, to the successful launch of his own fund and his status as a role model to people of color in the investment field. Brown was co-chair of OSI-Baltimore’s Solutions Summit in 2016.
The Sun recently named Eddie and his wife Sylvia Best Philanthropists. Read an interview with this dynamic duo in OSI’s Spring 2013 newsletter, starting on page 16.
