Tonight at 7pm, as part of OSI-Baltimore’s Talking About Race series, we’ll host a free conversation about “Race, Identity, and Sports” at the University of Baltimore Law School’s Moot Court Room with a really terrific group of speakers:
John Angelos, executive vice president of the Baltimore Orioles and son of owner Peter Angelos, who was outspoken after the death of Freddie Gray, racist taunts directed at Adam Jones, and the recent NFL protests;
Kevin Merida, the founder of The Undefeated, ESPN’s platform for discussions of race, sports, and culture (moderator); and
Tanisha Wright, a 12-year WNBA veteran, now an assistant coach at the University of Charlotte, who led her New York Liberty teammates in protests supporting the Black Lives Matter movement;
Space is limited for this free events, but there are still a few spots available.
