In his great interview with Broadway World, 2014 OSI Community Fellow Brian Francoise, who has been the Director of Community Engagement at the Everyman Theatre for two years, talks about the company’s production of “Intimate Apparel” by Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright Lynn Nottage, and a free related event called “Confessions of a Designer.” Francoise leads the Everyman’s effort to deepen its connections to and engagement with the city of Baltimore.
His fellowship, a civic arts program called Sister Neighborhood Arts Program (SNAP), aimed to create connections between two neighborhoods, Original Northwood and New Northwood, that were geographically linked but culturally and economically separate.
If you go to the Everyman, keep an eye out for the Hidden Voices Baltimore display, and be sure to share your secret.
