On Friday, the first day of the Baltimore Book Festival, OSI Community Fellow and Circle of Voices founder J.C. Faulk (above right), OSI Communications Director Evan Serpick, and philanthropist Pat Bernstein (above left) appeared on the Enoch Pratt Free Library Children’s Stage to talk about their collaborative project, Hidden Voices: Illuminating Baltimore’s Secrets.
The project, launched at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in May, encourages Baltimore residents to share secrets, hopes, dreams, or anything else they want anonymously by postcard (an homage to Frank Warren’s Post Secret project), in hopes of creating connections between people often divided by geography, race, class, or other factors.
You can see some of the postcards already collected at the Hidden Voices website.
