OSI-Baltimore has teamed up with The Atlantic to present CityLab Baltimore, a one-day convening of local and national leaders to discuss pressing issues in American cities, at the Parkway theater next Wednesday, August 2nd.
Michael Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York and Johns Hopkins University grad who has invested heavily in Baltimore, will offer a welcoming address. Among the other speakers are Mayor Catherine Pugh, Health Commissioner Dr. Leana Wen, Johns Hopkins University President Ron Daniels, MICA President Sammy Hoi, former U.S. Drug Czar Michael Botticelli, and author D. Watkins.
Among the discussions: “Treatment Not Triage: Tackling Addiction,” “Community Growth Through the Arts,” and “Rebuilding Blocks: Eliminating Blight.” (The full agenda will be listed here shortly.)
