On Friday, the 2016 OSI-Baltimore Community Fellows hosted its monthly Fellows Gathering at Baltimore Teacher Supply Swap to hear about the experiences of two members of their cohort, Melissa Badeker and Jennifer Will-Thapa.
Badeker co-founded the Teacher Supply Swap to help bridge the gap between educators who need materials and those who have extra materials they no longer need. Will-Thapa’s project, The Common Ground Youth Farm Project, partners with the Community Conferencing Center –another organization established by an OSI-Baltimore Community Fellow, Lauren Abramson — to help connect youth involved in the juvenile justice system to job opportunities on urban farms.
Listen to Badeker and Will-Thapa talk about their programs on WYPR’s On the Record.
