Recently, 2013 OSI-Baltimore Community Fellow Lanaea Featherstone’s foundation launched the first multicultural professional development opportunity. “Reaching New Heights” is a 12- week training program designed to equip participants with skills needed to land an entry level job in the financial services industry. The foundation will match participants with employers and help them secure a new job.
Featherstone’s fellowship, “Empowering Latinos One ‘Click’ at a Time,” a program focused on teaching Latino immigrants basic computer skills, is one of several programs run by the William and Lanaea Featherstone Foundation, which was established to help build stronger communities for Latinos and other underserved populations by providing tools to achieve self-sufficiency and economic empowerment.
The application deadline for “Reaching New Heights” is July 17. Access the application here.
