This week, the Baltimore Sun featured a great article on the OSI-Baltimore Community Fellowships program. “Sparks for change: Open Society fellows have tested new ideas for Baltimore for 20 years,” highlights how deeply woven into the fabric of Baltimore the fellows have become in the two-decade history of the program.
“When we think about the value, we can almost pick any area of the community and you can find an OSI stamp on it,” said 2015 Fellow Gregory Carpenter, who was interviewed for the piece. Carpenter owns and operated the 2AM Bakery, which also served as the site for Eye Can Bmore, Carpenter’s fellowship program that aimed to teach ex-offenders to bake and hone their entrepreneurial skills.
Diana Morris, director of OSI-Baltimore director and Pamela King, director of the Fellowships Program were interviewed as well.
