OSI-Baltimore, in collaboration with Baltimore City Public Schools, the Family League of Baltimore, and the Baltimore School Climate Collaborative, will begin the process of implementing restorative practices in all Baltimore City Schools over the next five years. The use of restorative practices in schools has been shown to support effective leadership and engaging classrooms; develop positive relationships among all stakeholders; and create engaging classrooms and welcoming and safe school communities. The cumulative effects of these enhancements result in improved outcomes for Baltimore City’s students.
Watch the video below, created by OSI-Baltimore grantee, Wide Angle Youth Media, that explains what restorative practices are and how they are used as a way to resolve conflict and build positive relationships.
