2013 OSI-Baltimore Community Fellow Lanaea Featherstone, whose program, “Empowering Latinos One ‘Click’ at a Time,” aims to teach Latino immigrants basic computer skills, announced the inaugural Featherstone College Scholarship created by the William & Lanaea C. Featherstone Foundation. The foundation worked in partnership with the Consular Section of the Mexican Embassy in Washington, D.C to provide six University of Baltimore students with $2,000 merit-based awards, as an incentive to increase Latino enrollment in higher education.
The application deadline is March 15, 2017.
