BALTIMORE – On Wednesday at Pleasant Hope Baptist Church in Belvedere, Open Society Institute-Baltimore (OSI), Associated Black Charities (ABC) and Baltimore City Paper will hold the first of two mayoral primary forums.
All of the candidates competing in primary races have been invited, including Democrats, Republicans, and Greens.

Dr. Heber Brown, pastor of Pleasant Hope, will be the host. Pulitzer Prize-winning Morgan State University professor E.R. Shipp and WEAA radio personality Marc Steiner will moderate. There will be a live webstream of the forum on CityExplainer.com.
The forums’ goals are to reach new voters, increase voter turnout, and educate voters about the candidates’ priorities and positions. Candidates in attendance will have the chance to briefly introduce themselves before being asked a series of questions from the moderators and then from those watching the forum at the church and on the webstream, using the Twitter hashtag #VoteBmore.
The second forum will take place on March 16 at Union Baptist Church. Information on both forums is listed below.
